Maria J. Santana is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in recognition of her contributions to the field of Healthcare at Pathology Consultants of South Broward, LLC. A private clinical and pathology practice, Pathology Consultants of South Broward, LLC has provided services to the Hollywood, Florida area for over fifty years. As an affiliate of the Memorial Healthcare System, the consultant team provides services for several hospitals throughout the network. The practice offers services in multiple areas including anatomic pathology, clinical pathology and molecular pathology, and the staff consists of a number of pathologists, pathologist assistants, clinical laboratory scientists and administrative staff members. Amassing over forty years of experience in the industry and fourteen years of experience in her current role as Practice Manager at Pathology Consultants of South Broward, Santana specializes in medical services. In addition, Santana has extensive expertise in Operations, Scheduling, Human Resources, Insurance and Management. Prior to joining the team at Pathology Consultants of South Broward, Santana served in the department of Pathology Transcription at Memorial Regional Hospital, for 27 years, ending in 2003. Throughout the course of her education and training, Santana earned her Associate’s degree in General Business Administration and Management from Broward College. She also holds a Certificate of Completion of the course, Creating Friction Free Relationships. To further her professional development, Santana is an affiliate of the Florida Chapter of the Society of Human Resources Management; the College of American Pathologists; the Practice Managers Association; and the National Association of Professional Women, which named her as a member of its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. When not working, Santana supports a number of healthcarerelated charities, including the Lung Cancer Society, the American Heart Association and anything related to Diabetes awareness. When she is not working, Santana enjoys reading, travel and gardening. In recognition of her outstanding work in the field, Santana received the Care Award in 2003.
