Robert G. Szewc

Robert G. Szewc, M.D., is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a 2017 Pinnacle Professional for his contributions in the field of Medicine. Dr. Szewc serves as a Nephrologist at the practice of Kidney and Hypertension Specialists, which specializes in hospital services, emergency medicine, kidney care and hypertension solutions. He has worked in this position since 2002, and brings over 20 years of career experience, as well as expertise in kidneys, hypertension, chronic disease and anemia, to his role. Since Dr. Szwec founded Kidney and Hypertension Specialists in 2002, “we have proudly served San Antonio and its surrounding areas,” the practice’s website states. “It is our priority to provide current and comprehensive healthcare in the diagnosis, preventative therapy and treatment of hypertension and kidney disease. Dr. Szwec earned his Medical degree at Lublin Medical Academy. He then went on to complete a number of residencies, internships and fellowships, including: an Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at UMASS Memorial Health Care, where he served as the Chief Resident; a Nephrology Fellowship at the University of Texas Science Center in San Antonio. To further his professional development, Dr. Szwec is a member of Indigent Care, the Renal Physician Association, the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology, the Bexar County Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association. In recognition of his outstanding accomplishments in the field, Dr. Szwec was named a Top Doctor by Global Who’s Who; and is the recipient of the ERSD Network of Texas Superior Performance Award in Hemodialysis and the 2010 ESRD Fistula First Benchmark Facility Award, to name a few. When not working, Dr. Szwec volunteers his time to local orphanages. He also enjoys traveling, skiing, tennis and outdoor sports, as well as spending time with family.
