Dr. Ashu Dhanjal

Continental Who’s Who recognizes Dr. Ashu Dhanjal, MD, FACC, as a Pinnacle Professional Member in the field of Cardiology. Dr. Dhanjal currently serves as a Preventative/ Non-invasive Cardiologist at Northwest Cardiology, a medical facility based in Springdale, Arkansas. “Northwest Health provides inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic imaging, medical, surgical and emergency services to the Bentonville, Springdale, Fayetteville, Johnson and Siloam Springs communities in northwestern Arkansas,” the company’s website states. “We are your family, friends and neighbors, and we work with and for our community to provide quality healthcare that fits your life and lifestyle.” The site goes on to explain that Northwest’s mission is, “To provide extraordinary healthcare service and enrich the lives in the communities we serve,” and their vision as a healthcare system is, “To be the healthcare provider of choice, renowned for exceeding the standard for quality and serving with passion.” Furthermore, the acronym ‘P.R.I.D.E.’ is used to describe their company values, which consist of, “People, Respect, Integrity, Devotion, and Energy.” Dr. Dhanjal earned her Medical degree at Lady Hardinge Medical College, and through Sucheta Kriplani Hospital. She went on to complete her Residency at Marshall University, where she also completed a Fellowship. Prior to her current field of cardiology, Dr. Dhanjal began her career as an ENT Surgeon in India. After she and her husband moved to the United States, Dr. Dhanjal was inspired to go into the field by her Canadian uncle, Dr. Ramesh Kumar. She was employed at Logan Regional Hospital, near Charleston, WV, before serving in her current role at Northwest Health. Since then, after 17 years of career experience, Dr. Dhanjal is triple Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the National Board of Echocardiography and the American Board of Nuclear Medicine, and is also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, a distinguished title to hold. Due to outstanding work in her field, Dr. Dhanjal has received the Governor’s Award for Service in 2016. She says that the key to her success is having support from her family, and her advice to others in her field would be that, “Cardiology is demanding. You have to have a passion for it.” Outside of work, Dr. Dhanjal enjoys traveling, particularly to beaches. She also enjoys reading fiction, thrillers (especially authors such as Sidney Shelton), and science fiction books. Married with two daughters, Dr. Dhanjal dedicates this recognition in loving memory of her father, Jagjiwan Garg, who she says was always her guiding light and her husband Manmohan Dhanjal who has been her supporting pillar.
