Nancy Craigmyle is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a 2017 Pinnacle Professional in the field of Research as a result of her role as Scientific Researcher. Specializing in the physiology and psychology behind brain changes during meditation, Craigmyle is a leading expert in mindfulness meditation. She began her illustrious forty plus year scientific career trying to understand the unexpected changes in behavior caused by peripheral norepinephrine (in rats) by studying the principal neuromodulating system of which it is a part of. Extremely passionate about her line of work, Nancy states “it’s a calling.” Initially beginning her educational career with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University in New York City, Craigmyle went on to attend the University of South Carolina-Columbia. Despite being retired, she continues to keep abreast of the latest in the field through continued exploration of the neuroscientific basis for the beneficial effects of meditation on the mind and body. When she is not working, Craigmyle enjoys taking walks in the woods. Craigmyle is Dedicating this recognition to her husband Robert de Rochemont and to Torgny Svensson.
