Before working full time in medicine, Dr. Swanson served in the United States Army for over twenty years before retiring as a Colonel. Board Certified in Urology, his areas of expertise include dialysis complications, healthcare management, internal medicine, kidney transplants, urology and more. An esteemed Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Swanson is a member of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons and enjoys reading history books and golfing in his spare time. Dr. Swanson received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from South Dakota State University and went on to complete his Medical degree at the Georgetown University of Medicine.
