With over 20 years of expert experience in the field, Mr. Burgher’s principal practice area is capital markets and finance. His main focuses within his area of expertise are structured finance and securitization transactions; including collateralized loan obligations, residential mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities, asset-based lending, and structured products and derivatives transactions. He has notably represented present issuers, arrangers, underwriters/initial purchasers, lenders, borrowers, asset managers and credit and liquidity support providers. Mr. Burgher’s expertise in the field can be attributed to his nearly 2 decades of practice experience, previously serving as Counsel for the structured finance/capital market group at McKnee Nelson LLP which gives him additional knowledge into finance and capital market legislation.
Mr. Burgher earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from the State University of New York, College at Fredonia in 1994, graduating magna cum laude. He went on to pursue a Juris Doctorate at New York University School of Law, graduating in 1997. He is an esteemed fellow of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and is professionally affiliated with the New York Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
In his free time, Mr. Burgher is charitable towards Espoir and the Dance Theatre in Harlem.
