Wladimir Noriega is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the Oil and Energy Industry as a result of his role as a General Auditor with CITGO Petroleum. CITGO is a United States–incorporated, Venezuela-owned refiner, transporter and marketer of transportation fuels, lubricants, petrochemicals and other industrial products. The company is owned by PDV America, Inc., an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A., the national oil company of Venezuela.
The company has its headquarters in the Energy Corridor area of Houston, Texas. Throughout his work with CITGO, Wladimir has brought over 30 years of Auditing experience to his endeavors with the company. He currently specializes in Evaluating Operating, Administrative and Financial Controls as well as Testing the Adequacy of Operating and Accounting Systems. He is presently a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA); MBA Association; National Society of Accountants; and the Institute of Internal Controls. Prior to joining CITGO, Wladimir began his career with the Comptroller General's Office in Caracas, Venezuela. He later joined PDVSA affiliate Maraven serving as financial administrative auditor, internal audit supervisor and internal audit manager. He also served PDVSA affiliate Bariven as financial administrative resident auditor and held the position of international business audit manager for PDVSA until joining CITGO in 2003.
Throughout his educational career, Wladimir earned his MBA in Accounting as well as a Bachelors Degree in Business from Emporia State University. In addition, he holds a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from the University of Oriente and is certified by the Institute of Internal Auditors.
