Andre Laperriere is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Government Administration as a result of his role as Deputy Chief Executive Officer with Global Environment Facility. Global Environment Facility unites 183 countries in partnership with international institutions, civil society organizations, and the private sector to address global environmental issues while supporting national sustainable development initiatives. Today, the GEF is the largest public funder of projects to improve the global environment. An independently operating financial organization, the GEF provides grants for projects related to biodiversity, climate change, international waters, land degradation, the ozone layer, and persistent organic pollutants.
With over 25 years of experience, Andre specializes in management, international development, strategic planning, human resources, financial management, emergency response, information systems, and more. Throughout his career, he has led and managed numerous large scale projects on behalf of private corporations and subsequently, within the United Nations. He has extensive work experience in the Americas, Caribbean, Africa, Europe and the Middle East, in particular in developing countries and in conflict and post conflict environments.
Andre earned an MBA in Management and Information Systems, a MA in Industrial Relations, as well as a BA in Psychology and Industrial Relations, all from Laval University.
