Heidi J. Jarvis-Grimes is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Higher Education as a result of her role as the Director of the Advancement for Strategic University Initiatives and College of Arts and Letter at Idaho State University. In her current position, the focus of Heidi’s advancement work is specific to major research funding alignments with an emphasis on student welfare, multidisciplinary, sustainability, and the world-class Idaho State University Stephens Performing Arts Center initiatives.
She has successfully collaborated with leading foundations, private industry, and individual donors to provide major funding support for core university research areas. Her work with Idaho State University has allowed Heidi to pursue her two professional passions, advancement in the arts and interdisciplinary university initiatives. Prior to joining Idaho State University, Heidi served on a successful team as Director of External Relations and Development for the Office of Research and Graduate School at Washington State University. She worked closely with many major corporations, private foundations, and individual donors to foster and advance funding alignments with research priorities. Heidi also served on the Center for Environmental, Research, Education and Outreach Executive Committee to collaborate and develop interdisciplinary federal and state proposals, as well as opportunities with private foundations and industry.
While in this position, Heidi was the recipient of the Pullman, Washington Chamber of Commerce Civic Improvement Award, presented for outstanding contribution to the improvement of community and citizen relations. In addition to Heidi’s work in the field of Higher Education, she has recently completed her 20th season as Conductor of the Pullman Community Civic Symphonic Band. As a result of her talent and dedication, she has been honored as Guest Conductor of the Royal Hawaiian Band in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Throughout her educational career, Heidi earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree Cum Laude from the University of Dayton and is currently pursuing graduate studies in Education Administration at the University of Idaho. For more information, please visit www.isu.edu.
