Elizabeth A. Jenkins, M.S. Ed. is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional of the Year in the field of Social Services as a result of her role as Director of Accreditation and Certification with Pathway Caring for Children, a non-profit social service agency. Pathway Caring for Children specializes in treatment and support of at-risk children, teens and families as well as providing mental health, adoption and foster care services to children in Northeast Ohio through the Department of Jobs and Family Services.
The organization began in 1973 as a foster home network to meet the needs of neglected, abused, abandoned, and troubled children and has grown to become a staple of the community’s support of at-risk children, teens and families. As Director of Accreditation and Certification, Elizabeth brings over 25 years of experience to her current position. In this capacity, Elizabeth is accountable for reviewing and evaluating compliance issues and concerns for Pathway as well as ensuring that the facility and staff are in full compliance.
Her main area of focus is providing service for the staff that administers direct care to children, including oversight for continuous quality improvement, PI projects, and program and administrative outcomes. In addition, Elizabeth works to obtain outcomes and conducts assessments, collecting and maintaining current information and data, as well as oversight of the accreditation process. As a result of her vast knowledge in compliance and regulations, Elizabeth is tasked with the responsibility of giving periodic reports to the Board of Directors in regards to the progress of the institution’s success. She reports on Pathways endeavors with achieving stated goals, and provides coordination of on-going program review.
Elizabeth’s dedication to the field of Social Services has not gone unnoticed. In 2009 she received the Outstanding Quality Award from the Council on Accreditation, and a Consumer Credit Counseling Agency Phoenix Award. She is also the recipient of a VIP Woman of the Year Award from the NAPW for 2010-2011. Throughout her educational career, Elizabeth earned a Master of Science Degree in Education (M.S. Ed.) from Capella University with a specialty in Training and Performance Improvement. She is currently an honored member of the American Society of Training and Development and the National Association of Professional Women.
