Karen Bane

Continental Who’s Who recognizes Karen Bane as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Healthcare as a result of her role as Manager of Interventional Radiology and Radiology Nursing at Newton Wellesley Hospital.

In addition to her role as a Manager of Interventional Radiology and Radiology Nursing at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, Karen is actively involved with quality initiatives, Co-chairs the monthly Quality Monitoring Day and represents the Radiology Department on the hospital Policy and Procedure committee and a member of the Safety Steering committee as well. Karen has expertise in Radiology Nursing, developing processes and protocols, consulting on many quality and safety initiatives, regulatory issues and Interventional Radiology. She has a extensive experience as an ICU nurse, in addition to 10 years as a Radiology Nurse, earned a certificate in Legal Nurse Consulting from Northeastern University and is a member of the Radiology Nursing Association, Organization for Nurse Executives, New England Chapter and the Health Care Quality Association.

Karen is currently involved with the development and planning of the future Cardiovascular Center at NWH. Karen has an M.S. in Nursing Administration and Regulatory Affairs from Regis College, and a BSN from Boston College.

She also holds a certificate in Clinical Trial Management from Regis College. When not at work, Karen is actively involved with her friends and family located around the country. She is the proud mother of two sons and one daughter. Both of Karen’s sons are Army officers and combat veterans who have served in Afghanistan. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, reading and travel with her husband.
