Helen F. Leonard is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Health and Wellness as a result of her role as Founder of Healthy Bodyworks. Helen Leonard has been a certified Massage Therapist for the past 15 years, and offers a variety of massage and therapy techniques to meet her clients’ needs as well as benefitting their health. Helen believes that the customized combination of her skills helps her clients heal and improve their life is her specialty in her wellness field. Helen treats a variety of physical challenges from plantar fasciitis, fibromyalgia, hip and knee pain, TMJ, as well as upper back and neck tension. Helen blends a specialty of bodywork techniques including massage therapy, release technique, Bowen therapy, cranial Sacral Therapy, reflexology, as well as reiki. Helen will also help the client modify their exercise routine to promote and maximize healing without over stressing the muscles. Helen also works with people with repetitive use injuries or trauma from falls and car accidents. Helen believes in a wholeness approach to helping the person improve their health with nutritional counseling and working with other wellness professionals.
Helen is also a certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach to plan and provide an exercise routine to promote building strength as well as flexibility for the clients’ wellness program. Helen also believes that nutrition and weight loss can benefit her clients to maximize their health, feeling energized and long term longevity for a full wellness program. Helen earned her Associates Degree in Computer Science from Anne Arundel Community College and pursued continued education for massage in the areas of Reflexology, Bowen Technique, Muscle Release Technique, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Shiatsu Hara Training, Energy Balancing, Prenatal Massage, working with Geriatric Clients, Orthopedic and Structural Bodywork. Helen is currently a member of BNI; AMTA; ACE; and the Maryland Theater of Performing Arts. Additionally, she is the Founder of Project Prosperity.
