Dr. Daniel Lyman Ridout , III, MD, FACP

Dr. Daniel Lyman Ridout, III, MD, FACP is recognized by Continental Who’s Who in the field of Healthcare as a result of his role as Chief of Gastroenterology with Riverside Shore Gastroenterology and Riverside Memorial Hospital.

With over thirty years of experience in the healthcare industry, Dr. Ridout is a trusted authority on all aspects of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Ridout’s professional experience began as an Internist in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this position, he realized his passion for working in the field of Gastroenterology and decided to pursue this subset further. Throughout his time in Philadelphia, Dr. Ridout was inspired by working with the minority community in underserved areas, and continued on his mission to serve the general public with the highest quality medical care possible.

Presently, Dr. Ridout serves as the Chief of Gastroenterology at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital, located in Nassawadox, Virgina. Riverside is one of Riverside Shore Health Service's multiple locations for inpatient and outpatient care, diagnostics, rehabilitation and wellness services. Patients can always count on a growing array of resources and technology as well as the promise of promoting, maintaining and restoring health with exceptional patient-focused care in a compassionate setting. Overseeing the Gastroenterology Department, Dr. Ridout specializes in educating patients on prevention and medical options, community-based medicine, gastroenterology procedures, consultations, clinical care, and mentoring Riverside residents and Medical School students.

Throughout his educational career, Dr. Ridout earned his MD from the University of Cincinnati and attained Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. As a result of his dedication and professionalism, Dr. Ridout serves as a Fellow with the American College of Physicians, and is a member

of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American Gastroenterological Association. In addition, Dr. Ridout extends his scope of interest to the community at large, maintaining charitable ties to the Sylvia Olden Music Guild, American Cancer Society, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and the National Association of Negro Musicians, Inc.
