Ellary Blair is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional among Artists. Ellie is the Owner of Ellie Pots Inc.

Ellary has been a potter for 30 years working mainly with functional pottery. In 2002 I took up crystalline pottery and I do that exclusively. I love this form of pottery. I consider it the fine art of pottery. What  attracts me to it is you always get a one of a kind piece. Crystalline pottery, I feel, does not need any kind of embellishment. That distracts from the crystals and all you notice is what is in the piece.

I feel that each piece can stand-alone and be beautiful.

I also have been experimenting with horse hair raku.

 

This is a completely different style of pottery but you always get a one of a kind piece. I do all my own work from start to finish. I take special orders but please allow 3 weeks for the process to be completed and sent.

I graduated from The University of Kansas with a BFA in Design with an emphasis on ceramics. I made my living by working for landscape nurseries mainly as a propagator of new plants. I did this for

30 years and loved every minute of it.
