Dr. Karen Miller Ruble, Ph.D., DABT is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Business Professionals as a result of 25 Years of Excellence. Karen is the Associate Director of Product Safety and Clinical Testing for Chattem, lnc., a Sanofi Company.
Chattem is a producer and marketer of over-the- counter healthcare and personal care products. As Associate Director, Karen provides key scientific input to empower the innovation, development, manufacture and commercialization of safe, effective and successful consumer products. Karen’s areas of expertise include Toxicology, Risk Assessment, Regulatory Toxicology, and Clinical Testing. Karen participates on cross- functional teams in support of Chattem’s diverse product lines. She has participated on several projects to switch prescription product to over-the counter products. She supports both domestic and international registration of products.
Additionally, Karen is a member of many prestigious professional organizations including the Society of Toxicology, American Chemical Society, American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, American Industrial Hygiene Association, Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society, and the National Association of Professional Women. Karen is a Diplomat of the American Board of Toxicology. She is a founding member of the Friends of the Sciences at Emory and Henry College.
Karen received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Bowman-Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University as well as her Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Emory and Henry College.
