Layana serves as the HR Recruiting Manager at Warmelin, an aerospace company based in California. She brings over 20 years of industry experience, as well as expertise in many facets of human resources including networking, team building and recruiting, to her role. “Warmelin Precision Products, LLC. realizes that our success depends on the prompt delivery of a quality precision product.,” the company’s website states. “We dedicate ourselves to the policy of offering superior technical skills that improve the workmanship of the products we manufacture, advising customers of cost saving methods and providing engineering and support services.” “I am proficient with new talent acquisition,” Lanaya said. “I am responsible for building the staffing needs of all departments within the company as well as the on-boarding process, training, and promotions for employees. I manage the yearly internship program, support and partner with the management team of structure movement and performance review. I also manage all HR profiles, time and attendance, payroll and benefits.” Prior to joining the team at Warmelin, Layana worked for a number of large corporations, specifically Guess, and has worked as an independent consultant. In her role, she was “directly responsible for overseeing day-to-day departmental operations training and supervision of support staff, workflow coordination, budget planning and administration, policy and procedural development, human resources, recruitment, inventory control, staff travel coordination, purchase order preparation, expense reporting, staff evaluation, scheduling fit models, and handling a wide variety of special corporate events.” Lanaya earned her Associate of Arts degree in Travel and Tourism from Pittsburgh Technical Institute. She also holds an Associate of Arts degree in Business from West Los Angeles College, and attended a program for fashion retail strategies at the University of Southern California. Additionally, she is a Certified Human Resources Specialist by Employer’s Group, Inc. To further her professional development, Lanaya is a member of Women in Business.
