Linda Lee is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the field of Corporate Travel Management. TransCanada specializes in energy infrastructure. With over seven thousand employees, the company prides themselves on their safety, integrity, collaboration with clients and responsibility. Executive Assistant and Corporate Travel Manager, Lee who has been with the company for over 20 years, has been the Corporate Travel Manager since 2007. This responsibility was added to her Executive Assistant role reporting to TransCanada’s Chief Operating Officer and the President of Energy. As Travel Manager, Lee is responsible for managing travel policies and programs which support TransCanada’s corporate business objectives while also ensuring the safety, security and well-being of their business travelers. Through her involvement with the Global Business Travel Association and with her relationships with travel vendors, Lee is able to monitor trends and innovations in the travel industry and adopt these to the benefit of TransCanada and its business travelers. Relationships and knowledge of the travel industry are extremely important aspects of what Lee brings to her position in addressing the needs of the travelers she works with and supports. “Managing a travel program like TransCanada’s has been a challenge I really enjoy. I love working with a very diverse group of travel professionals, travel vendors and business travelers as every day brings a new challenge and learning for me. I think the most important thing for me is to continue to learn and apply these to benefit my company and our travelers,” says Lee. “I am a proactive, take-charge individual with a proven ability to manage a varied workload with minimum supervision,” Lee said. “I possess a high degree of integrity, passion and positive energy.” Prior to joining the team at TransCanada, Lee worked as an Administrative Assistant at Imperial Oil for 11 years. Her job duties included working in the areas of exploration and production, land, coal, surface rights and public affairs. In looking to the future, Lee hopes to continue to develop travel policies that are both cost effective and support corporate business objectives, while ensuring safety security and comfort to travelers.
