Maria Chavez Wilcox is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Non-Profit Management. Maria is the
President and CEO of Childhaven. A valued United Way agency, Childhaven provides an array of care services to neglected, abused and chemically affected babies, toddlers and preschoolers across three centers throughout Washington.
Presently, Maria possesses over thirty years of experience as a social service and child welfare advocate, community leader, public speaker, executive and philanthropist. Dedicated to assisting children from all walks of life and ending the cycle of abuse, Maria works in the areas of: community outreach, event planning, fundraising, leadership, nonprofit organization management, program development, social services and volunteer management.
The recipient of countless honors and awards, Maria maintains affiliation with the Seattle Downtown Association, NAFE, Seattle Notary and the Women’s Funding Alliance. She is also on the Chair of Seattle University Nonprofits School of Management. Reflecting on her educational career, Maria graduated from Boston University with both her Master of Arts in Public School Administration and Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.
