Carol Smith, M.S., M.A., LADC, CCMHC, is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Mental Health. Carol
is the Clinical Supervisor at BAART Behavioral Health. With treatment services and programs across Vermont, California, Arizona, Nebraska and North Carolina, BAART has expanded across the nation to assist those in need of overcoming their substance addictions through a multitude of rehabilitation services.
Garnering three decades of experience, Carol has worked her way up to her current position and was recently appointed to the Vermont Alcohol and Drug Addiction Certification Board. With her expertise in clinical mental health counseling, individual and group counseling, quality assurance, training and treatment plans, her position allows her to provide clinical supervision to substance abuse counselors as well as intern counselors. To keep up with the latest in the industry, Carol remains an active member of the American Association of Grief Counselors, Vermont Alcohol and Drug Addiction Certification Board and National Association of Professional Women. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening and donating to charities such as St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. T
he recipient of the Champions of Change award, Carol earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Springfield College-School of Human Services as well as a second Master’s degree in Counseling from Summit University.
