Helen P. Keller, R.N., is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Healthcare. Helen is a Retired Registered Nurse with Iredell Memorial Hospital. Founded in 1954, Iredell Memorial Hospital is a non-profit, 247-bed facility whose mission is to provide quality healthcare to persons living in Iredell and the nearby counties. The hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, and is the only diabetes program in the county to be acknowledged by the American Diabetes Association.
In her previous capacity, Helen specialized in post anesthesia (recovery room), intensive care, and outpatient surgery services. Her responsibilities included helping patients recover and recuperate, as well as a having vast knowledge of the cutting-edge life support system the hospital offers. A testament to her successes, Helen was awarded with the North Carolina Perianesthesia Nurse of the Year and was nominated to the Great 100 Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare and the International Nurses Association. A member of the International Nurses Association and the Old Dolls Breakfast Club, Helen was petitioned for acceptance into the Order of Eastern Star. In her spare time, she enjoys scuba diving, travel, gardening and choir. Helen received her Nursing degree from Davis Hospital and holds a certification in Perianesthesia Nursing.
