Dr. William H. Moore is recognized among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Healthcare as a result of his role as Radiologist at Stony Brook University Cancer Center.
Celebrating over ten years at the medical center, Dr. Moore specializes in all aspects of radiology and thoracic imaging. He is the Director of Radiology Residency, Chief of Thoracic Imaging, and is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stony Brook University. Moreover, Dr. Moore is board certified in Radiology, and is a member of the Society of Thoracic Imaging and the Radiology Society of North America.
Additionally, Dr. Moore received the Outstanding Community Service award by LICRA in 2010, an Outstanding Teacher award from the Stony Brook School of Medicine in 2008, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society faculty member in 2006, and another Outstanding Teacher award from the Stony Brook School of Medicine in 2006. In 2005, Dr. Moore won the Radiology Teacher of the Year award.
Throughout the course of his studies, he was the recipient of the RSNA Research Award in 2003, where his research included grant-based work on a low dose CT of the chest combined with other technologies. Dr. Moore received his medical degree from the Albany Medical Center, internship at the Albany Medical Center, and his residency training at Stony Brook University Medical Center. His fellowship was spent at the thoracic imaging center at the New York University School of Medicine.
