Dr. Margaret V. Blanchard is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Medicine. Dr. Blanchard is a Pediatrician at the Children’s Clinic, Ltd. The oldest continuous pediatric practice on the Peninsula, The Children’s Clinic has been providing quality child care to the Hampton Roads area since 1937. At their three locations, they are staffed with nine pediatricians and a full-time lactation consultant to assist families in every area of childcare from birth to twenty one.
Dr. Blanchard began working at the Children’s Clinic in 1999, and she has years of experience and expertise in pediatrics, healthcare management, family medicine, public health and treatment options. Additionally, she has knowledge in medical and health education, clinical research, and electronic medical records as well. Dr. Blanchard wanted to be a doctor since she was a little girl, and she loves working closely with the parents of the children she treats.
She is Board Certified in Pediatrics, and received the “Best Intern of the Year” award while completing her pediatric residency at EVMS/Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters in Norfolk, Virginia. Furthermore, Dr. Blanchard maintains professional memberships with the Congenital Heart Information Network, Professional Women's Network, International Pediatric Association, Pediatric Healthcare Information Technology Community, and Pediatric Healthcare Professionals. Her advice to people is to love what you do, and outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her son and daughter.
She received her M.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Georgetown University.
