Allison Chan, MD, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Internist in the field of Internal Medicine and acknowledgment of her devotion to St. Vincent’s Medical Center Southside and St. Vincent’s Medical Center.

Founded in 1873, St. Vincent’s Medical Center Southside (once known as St. Luke’s) was the first private hospital in Jacksonville and is the oldest private hospital in Florida. Currently, a 311-bed facility, St. Vincent’s Southside joined the St. Vincent’s HealthCare family in 2008. Ascension St. Vincent’s Southside is the only community hospital in Jacksonville to receive the “baby-friendly” designation from the World Health Organization and UNICEF. It is also home to the area’s only all-private neonatal intensive care (NICU) rooms. The Family Birth Place at St. Vincent’s Southside was also one of only nine organizations in the country to receive a PRC Platinum Achievement Award in 2015.

Board Certified Internist Dr. Chan has garnered nine years of vast knowledge and professional experience in Ambulatory Care, Geriatrics, Woman’s Care, Chromic disease, and Preventative Medicine. She has devoted the past seven years with St. Vincent’s Medical Center Southside and St. Vincent’s Medical Center demonstrating the highest standard of patient-centered care. She diagnoses and treats common illnesses and long-term conditions for those ages 18 and over. Dr. Chan partners with her patients to help oversee their comprehensive health and manage any complex conditions, serving as their patients’ primary care relationship.

Dr. Chan’s acclaimed career began in 2008 after graduating from the Medical College of Georgia. Soon thereafter, she went on to complete her residency in internal medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Remaining abreast of the latest developments in her field, Dr. Chan is an active member of the American College of Physicians. In light of her professional experience, she is the recipient of the 2018 – Well Care Patient Satisfaction.

Dr. Chan is married to her husband, John and they have two children, Haley and Brian. She dedicates this recognition to Dr. Stephanie Call.
