Furthering his studies, his interest in psychoanalysis led him to complete psychoanalytic training at the Colombian Psychoanalytic Association.

Remaining abreast of the latest innovations in his field, Dr. Arias has maintained active memberships and affiliations with several professional organizations including the International Psychoanalytic Association, Titlular, American Academy of Psychoanalysis as a Fellowship Member since 1981, American Psychoanalytic Association, American Psychiatric Association, Tampa Bay Psychoanalytic Society, and the American Medical Association.
