Alessandro DeAlarcon, MD, MPH

Alessandro DeAlarcon, MD, MPH, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the field of Medicine as a Pediatric Otolaryngology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

As one of the leading hospitals in the U.S., Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center offers renowned patient care and groundbreaking research. Dr. DeAlarcon has served at the Hospital for 13 years. In addition to his role as a pediatric otolaryngologist, he serves as the director of the Center for Pediatric Voice Disorders at Cincinnati Children’s and an associate professor of the UC Department of Pediatrics.

Dr. DeAlarcon is at the forefront of reconstruction and surgical procedures. His research interests include eosinophilic esophagitis, health outcomes research, and quality improvement in health care. With only thirteen years in his field, he has become a pioneer in his field, publishing over seventy papers. Such as “Endoscopic posterior cricoid reduction: A surgical method to improve posterior glottic diastasis” and “Cervical slide tracheoplasty in adults with laryngotracheal stenosis”.

In preparation for his career, Dr. DeAlarcon attended the VCU School of Medicine for a Doctorate of Medicine degree. Then, he trained as a resident at the University of Virginia Health Systems and a fellow of the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. In 2007, he earned board certification from the American Board of Otolaryngology.

A highly respected voice in his areas of expertise, Dr. DeAlarcon maintains affiliations with the American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons, and Triological Society.
