William D. Bloomer, MD, FACR, FACRO, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever in the field of Radiation Oncology as a Radiation Oncologist at North Shore University Health Systems.
Dr. William D. Bloomer has more than 48 years’ experience in the field of Radiation Oncology. His areas of expertise are radiation oncology for both breasts and the prostate. Radiation Oncologist’s are physicians who use ionizing radiation for the treatment of cancer. Radiation oncology is one of the three primary specialties. The other two specialties being surgical and medical oncology, all involved in the treatment of cancer.
To strengthen his knowledge for his illustrious upcoming career Dr. Bloomer studied at Sidney Kimmel Medical College for his Medical Degree. He completed his internship at Case Western Reserve University, and continued on to Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and completed his Radiation Oncology Residency.
As a post graduate, became certified with American Board of Nuclear Medicine where he eventually became certified in Nuclear Medicine and later certified in Therapeutic Radiology from American Board of Radiology.
As a front runner in his field, remains affiliated with ASTRO, FACRO and FACR. He is also the Chairman of NSU Health Systems where he currently serves patients.
Outside of serving patients, Dr. Bloomer enjoys the theater.
