Michael Diaz, MD is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional Member in the field of Hematology and Oncology in recognition of his role as Owner at Michael Diaz, MD and affiliate of Mount Sinai Beth Israel. A general medical and surgical hospital, Mount Sinai Beth Israel is dedicated to utilizing the latest advancements in medical technology in an effort to better serve their patients. Established since 1889, the hospital offers a wide array of services to their clients and has contributed “clinically, educationally, and through producing groundbreaking research.” Amassing over forty five years in the field of Hematology, Dr. Diaz is a renowned expert within the field. Starting out as a hospital employee, Dr. Diaz now has a solo medical practice with an affiliation with Mount Sinai Hospital and ODA Primary Health Care Network Inc. Throughout the course of his career, Dr. Diaz attained expertise within the areas of the treatment of anemia bleeding, coagulation disorders and lymphoma. Attributing his success to his interest in seeing “my community of Spanish Harlem get expert, compassionate healthcare,” Dr. Diaz is dedicated to the health and wellness of his patients. Throughout the course of his education and training, Dr. Diaz attained his Medical Doctor degree from the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Thereafter, Dr. Diaz completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital and Fellowship in Hematology from the City Hospital Center at Elmhurst. Certified through the American Board of Internal Medicine in Hematology, to further his professional development, Dr. Diaz is an affiliate of several organizations including the Mount Sinai School of Medicine Admission Committee and the Board of The Attending Associates of Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center. In recognition of his professional accolades, Dr. Diaz was the recipient of the 2017 Top Doctor Award; Top Hematologist & Oncologist; 2015 Top Doctor Award: Top Hematologist/Oncologist in New York, NY; 2013 Top Doctor Award: Top 10 Hematologist; and 2013 New York Times Super Doctors: Oncology. Dr. Diaz dedicates this recognition to his wonderful wife of 50 years, Eileen Diaz for her continuing love and support.
