Gregg A. Dickerson, MD, FACR is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Medicine at the Alliance Cancer Centers of Greenville and Clarksdale MS. Dr. Dickerson is dedicated to treating patients who have both benign and cancerous tumors in his general Radiation Oncology practice in Greenville and Clarksdale Mississippi. Dr. Dickerson is also highly accomplished in the treatment of prostate cancer, as well as other sites in the body, with the advanced technique of stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS). He has received state, national, and international recognition for the results he has obtained for his patients. Dr. Dickerson is able to offer highly advanced and innovative treatments for conditions that are beyond the range and scope of previously available traditional treatments. Dr. Dickerson has amassed over 33 years of experience as a Radiation Oncologist, faculty member at multiple Universities, researcher, author, President of multiple state Radiologic Societies, and a tireless advocate of his patients to insurance companies to obtain coverage for advanced treatment of their conditions. Dr. Dickerson has demonstrated his unique ability to embrace new technology for the betterment of his patients’ care and their well-being with his experience and expertise in the groundbreaking field of SBRT and SRS to target, track, and ablate tumors throughout the body. Dr. Dickerson was a founder of the 12th CyberKnife center in the United States based in Jackson Mississippi in 2004. In 2012 he was one a distinguished team of health care providers who secured major insurance company and Medicare coverage and reimbursement of SBRT for prostate cancer and was recognized by the Colorado House of Representatives for his efforts. Dr. Dickerson states that he has “always had a deep desire to help people, and he loves the extremely challenging field of Radiation Oncology.” His advice to young professionals is that “the world is a tough place to practice in today, so become a leader.” Dr. Dickerson attributes his success to the exemplary results that he obtains treating his patients. Board certified in Radiation Oncology, Dr. Dickerson received his MD from the Indiana University School of Medicine. His residency in Radiation Oncology was performed at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Dickerson served as a Flight Surgeon in the U.S. Air Force from 1985 to 1996 and achieved the rank of Major. Dr. Dickerson is currently the President of Delta X-ray Medicine and Medical Director for Alliance Cancer Care at Greenville and Clarksdale Mississippi. He is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology, a Fellow of the American College of Radiation Oncology, and a Fellow of the American Cancer Society. He is affiliated with several organizations. Dr. Dickerson is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American College of Radiology, the American College of Radiation Oncology, and the Mississippi Radiological Society. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the CyberKnife Coalition and the Registry for Prostate Cancer Radiosurgery. He holds licenses to practice Medicine in Arizona, California, Colorado, Indiana, Mississippi, and Missouri. Dr. Dickerson enjoys spending time with his family, exercising his privileges as a private pilot, cycling, and snow skiing when he is not working.
