Kevin J. Masur, MD, FACS, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever in the field of Medicine for his work as a General Surgeon at Advanced Surgical Associates.
Advanced Surgical Associates offers surgical services to the greater Phoenix area with offices located in Mesa, Gilbert, and Scottsdale. Dr. Masur has over nine years of experience as a surgeon and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He performs a wide range of procedures, including gallbladder, hernia, gastric, colon, adrenal, appendix, peritoneal dialysis access, breast cancer, and thyroid surgeries. Dr. Masur performs many different surgeries both laparoscopically and with assistance of the Da Vinci robot. On account of his expertise, he has been invited to serve in medical staff leadership roles at Banner Desert Medical Center and as part of the teaching faculty for multiple Physician Assistant and Medical Student programs. Dr. Masur is also part of the teaching faculty at the Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency (PISR) Program, Phoenix, Arizona, and serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor for the University of Arizona College of Medicine.
In recognition of academic achievements, Dr. Masur graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Wabash College in 2001, completing a Semester Study Abroad Program at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. He furthered his education at the Indiana University School of Medicine where he was the recipient of the Dr. and Mrs. Frank E. Gifford Scholarship, earning a Doctorate of Medicine. Along with an illustrious career as a surgeon, Dr. Masur is an active member of the American College of Surgeons, Phoenix Surgical Society, and Arizona Medical Association. A religious man, he is a member of Saint Theresa’s Catholic Church. He volunteers for several organizations, including the American Red Cross. Twice a year, he travels to Honduras, serving as the Surgical Mission Trip Director.
