Bob Baravarian, DPM, FACFAS, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional Podiatristfor his work with the University Foot & Ankle Institute is a regenerative medicine-based practice that prioritizes the patient’s individual needs, usually regarding athletic injuries, arthritis,  flat feet, fractures and breaks, and a handful of other illnesses  and injuries.
Inspired by his own athletic experiences, Dr. Baravarian first gained interest in sports medicine where he witnessed his assistant tennis coach get injured on the court. In his two decades of experience as a podiatric surgeon he’s learned that you should treat every patient the same way you would treat a member of your own family.
Attending the California College of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Baravarian graduated in May of 1996, earning him the title of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. He later attended the University of Pittsburgh where he completed his residency in 1999. Due to his education, Dr. Baravarian is uniquely qualified with a combination of foot and reconstructive rear-foot and ankle certifications.
Dr. Baravarian is currently serving as co-director of University Foot and Ankle Institute, and Editor Emeritus of the International Medical Journal as Foot and Ankle Specialist. He is a member of several UCLA organizations, including the UCLA Medical Group, acting Chief of Podiatric Surgery at Santa Monica/UCLA Medical Center and Orthopedic Hospital, and acting Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCLA School of Medicine.
For leisure, Dr. Baravarian appreciates spending his time playing sports, primarily tennis. He has a lifelong relationship with sports, participating in competitive tennis throughout his high school and college career.
Dr. Baravarian dedicates this recognition to his Mom and Dad, Shokri and Sima Baravarian, as well as his wonderful wife, Yas Baravarian, and to Gary Briskin, for all of their continued love and support through his career.
