Shevaun V. Rudkin is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a 2 Year Pinnacle Professional in the field of Healthcare in recognition of her role as Program Manager for Orthopedics and Neurosurgery at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center. Project Manager for Orthopedics and Neurosurgery at St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Rudkin is the overseer of three award winning programs at St. Joseph’s Medical Center including The Joint Replacement Center, the Spine Care Center, and the Geriatric Fracture Program where the first goal is always better patient outcomes. Starting out in the healthcare field in 1987 as an EMT, Rudkin has specialized in the areas of Clinical Research, Healthcare Management, Patient Care, Nursing Education, and Orthopedics. Throughout the course of her career, Rudkin was inspired by the leaders of the JC and GFP programs. Rudkin recognizes Dr. Jim Holstine as one of her inspirations, who is, “not only a great surgeon but a great leader and speaker as well.” Throughout the course of her education and training, Rudkin attained her Associates degree at Whatcom Community College in 2000. Later, she attended Skagit Valley College where she received her Registered Nursing certification. Thereafter in 2012, Rudkin earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Washington State University. To further her professional development, Rudkin is an affiliate of several organizations including the National Association of Professional Women, National Association of Orthopedic Nurses, and the Northwest Organization of Nurse Executives. In addition, Rudkin sits on the planning board of the Arthritis Foundation. When asked her advice to newcomers in the industry, Rudkin states that, “If you are told no, find another way. Don’t give up if it is something you believe will make a difference.” She emphasized the importance of pacing yourself. In looking to the future, Rudkin hopes to leave behind a legacy in making changes to better healthcare. When she is not working, Rudkin enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling, arts and crafts, needlepoint, and the theatre.
