Mary Kay Pieper

Continental Who’s Who recognizes Mary Kay Pieper, RN, BSN, as a VIP Member in the field of Nursing. Pieper is currently working as a Medical Oncology Nurse at Rocky Mountain Oncology, a healthcare and diagnostic center located in Casper, Wyoming. With six years in her current position and over 30 years of career experience, Pieper’s professional areas of expertise consist of all facets of nursing, with her current specialization in Oncology Nursing. The Oncology center’s website explains their groundbreaking approach to cancer care, as well as the mental, emotional, and physical comfort they provide for their patients. “We’ve assembled a highly skilled team of doctors, physician assistants, nurses and radiation therapists to take care of you,” the site states. “Because we want to minimize your worries, we also provide you with access to a financial counselor, a genetic counselor, massage and acupuncture therapists, volunteers and support staff – all of whom live in your community. She works on your behalf to coordinate your care, answer questions and find to help support your financial concerns, transportation needs, housing concerns, wellness services and support groups to provide for your peace of mind.” Pieper earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 1986 from Mount Marty College in Yankton, South Dakota. Additionally, to further her professional development, she maintains affiliations with many prestigious organizations, including the Oncology Nursing Society, and the International Nurses Association. Due to her outstanding work in her field, Pieper has been awarded Nurse of the Year by her local hospital and recognized for excellence in nursing by March of Dimes, who nominated her for Nurse of the Year in 2005. Outside of work, Pieper is very involved in her community. She volunteers at local Catholic Churches, helping couples through their marriage preparation, and also volunteers with local schools in Casper and with numerous local organizations. Pieper also enjoys gardening, photography, hiking, and spending time with friends in her spare time. She is thankful for all her mentors who have assisted her with their knowledge along the way.
