Mark L. Karno

Mark L. Karno is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Law in recognition of his role as Managing Member of Mark L. Karno and Associates, LLC, with offices in both downtown Chicago and Aurora, IL. 

With over thirty years of experience in the field of Law, Mr. Mark L. Karno is revered for his outstanding contributions to the legal profession. Throughout his career, Mr. Karno has attained extensive experience in the area of personal injury litigation. Early in his career he defended these cases and presently he represents only seriously injured individuals with his team of five (5) trial attorneys. 

While pursuing his educational endeavors, Mr. Karno attended the Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1982. For his undergraduate education, Mr. Karno attended the University of Illinois in Urbana, Illinois, where he attained his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, with High Honors. 

To further enhance his professional development, Mr. Karno is a distinguished fellow of several prominent organizations including the Illinois State Bar Association, Board of Governors, 2012-2013, 2014 - 2017; Illinois State Bar Association Assembly, 2010 - 2014; Illinois State Bar Association, Civil Practice & Procedure Section Council, Member, 2007-2013, 2017 - Present; Illinois State Bar Association, Civil Practice & Procedure Section Council, Chair, 2011 - 2012; Illinois State Bar Association, Civil Practice & Procedure Section Council, Board of Governors Liaison, 2016-2017; Illinois State Bar Association Insurance Law Section Council Chair 2002-2003, and more. Mr. Karno has also participated in several Pro bono activities for the Illinois Bar Foundation of which he has served as a member of its Board of Directors, and a Co-chair of the 2015 GALA Fundraiser. Currently he is the Treasurer of the Illinois Bar Foundation and Chair of its Investment Committee. 

In recognition of his professional accolades, Mr. Karno was AV Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell. In addition, Mr. Karno was named Super Lawyer from 2009-2019, and rated 10 out of 10 on AVVO, since 2012. Mr. Karno is also an honorary member of the American Society of Legal Advocates; Elite American Lawyers. He is a member of the Illinois Bar Foundation (Platinum Fellow); ABA, American Bar Foundation (Lifetime Fellow); Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum; The Decalogue Society of Lawyers; Justinian Society of Lawyers; American Association For Justice; and Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.
